A few years ago I took up hiking as a hobby and never looked back.  I have gained so much and achieved so much in a short space of time that I wanted to give something back.

I was introduced to hiking by Charlie Wardle who had also set up the Climb Your Mountain charity. The charity helps young children with disabilities by offering children and families mountain experiences. These experiences benefit children by improving confidence and enabling children to socialise with each other.  It gives parents a chance to spend some quality time outdoors with their children in a supervised and safe setting.

I am attempting Everest Base Camp (5380m) in October 2017. It will take 17 days to complete the entire trip. The trip is fully self-funded and all donations go directly to Climb Your Mountain (Registered Charity number:  1126004).
