Story
On 22nd February 2013, Issac was taken from a secure back garden in the Wyborn area of Sheffield, led to scrubland where he was tied to a tree, beaten and set alight. He never stood a chance to escape the hands of evil!
This has horrified thousands of people not only in Sheffield, but all over the UK and his story has even reached as far as the US and Australia. Issac's horrific attack is what prompted some members of the Justice for Issac team to set up this ipetiton: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/justice-for-isacc/. The idea behind the ipetition is to impose harsher sentencing for animal abusers by increasing the prison term to a minimum of 2 years with the possibility of a lifetime ban on keeping animals. We need10,000 signatures for this to be debated in Parliament so please keep sharing.
As a legacy to Issac, we at Justice for Issac have agreed, following liaisons with Support Dogs, to set up a JustGiving page whereby you can donate to Support Dogs, effectively sponsoring a puppy and naming the pup in Issac's memory. We are sure you will agree this would be a wonderful legacy to Issac!
The support we had at Issac's memorial show on Sunday 4th August was amazing and we have no doubt we will continue to receive your support for this project. So it is very important to share this JustGiving page as far and wide as possible.
To train a potential support dog, it takes approximately 20 months of intense training and costs around £20,000 which covers costs such as shelter, food, medication including jabs and veterinary bills. We are setting a target of a minimum of £5,000 however, if more could be raised that would be even better but the 5K mark is what we will aim for! If you give just £3.00 this month and a further £3.00 the following month, we will smash our target in no time at all so please dig deep and share this JustGiving page.
You may also donate via JustTextGiving: Text WUFF 50 and the amount including the currency sign to 70070. If you are a UK taxpayer you will also have the option to Gift Aid your donation at no extra cost to you meaning the charity can claim at least 25p per pound on tax relief!
Issac will never ever be forgotten and we must continue to put on a united front that what happened to Issac, as well as many other animals who have suffered at the hands of humans, will not be tolerated and we will not walk away or turn a blind eye. Please donate to Support Dogs and help Justice for Issac achieve its next goal. Thank you very much!
