After many (many) years of being known for my long locks, I'm going to donate them to hopefully more than one child who needs a wig because of alopecia or another hair loss inducing disease (http://www.variety.org.au). Hopefully it will help bring a smile and a bit of confidence in otherwise challenging circumstances. 

I'm also raising money for Parkinson's UK - hopefully providing a tiny contribution towards finding a cure for this debilitating disease. So if you have a spare dollar or pound, please give me some encouragement to go for the chop - it's a big deal to me - but an even bigger deal to help these charities :)
