We support families after a child dies to offer support, friendship and hope.

Story

We believe no one should have to face the death of a child alone. Join us for a benefit concert to raise money for our telephone helpline and support groups. They are vital in giving consolation to thousands of families at the darkest time of their lives.

The programme is carefully chosen by conductor Dr Stephen Brearley with his wife Margaret, Chair of the Trustees, to suit the mood of this concert. As bereaved parents themselves, the Brearleys hope you will generously support this event by buying tickets or making a donation on this page.

Margaret says: ‘Our son Joshua’s sudden death was devastating. With the help of The Compassionate Friends we slowly regained hope and managed to rebuild our lives. The charity’s work can only continue if you match its compassion with compassionate giving’.

The concert celebrates Bizet's
Jeux d'Enfants (Petite Suite), Mahler's haunting Kindertotenlieder, (Stephan Loges, baritone), and ends with Beethoven's Eroica Symphony. Tickets are available directly from the Cadogan Hall box office:

The Doctors' Orchestra is made up of doctors and other medical professionals and has an impressive track record in fund-raising for charitable causes.
