Our fund facilitates a support group for patients who have suffered from TTP, a rare disorder of the blood coagulation system. We also support lab-based research at UCLH. We are a fund within UCLH Charity, the main charity for UCLH NHS FT.

Story

Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) is a rare blood disorder, with between 1.2 to 11 new cases every year per million of the population.  TTP episodes are life threatening and considered a medical emergency.  TTP is a lifelong condition, as after initial diagnosis, many patients will experience further episodes of TTP called a relapse.

Your contribution today no matter how small or large will help research into TTP and other platelet disorders.  It will also create awareness of this condition.

Thank you.
