Story
On 1st September 2018 I will be carrying out a 200 foot abseil down the Holiday Inn in Birmingham, raising money for COPS (and Sport Birmingham but I'm focusing more on COPS).
COPS - Care Of Police Survivors - is a UK charity helping families of Police Officers who lost their lives on duty. It offers support, helps rebuild the families lives and ensure survivors have all the help they need to cope with the tragedy.
As a Police Officer myself this is a charity that resonates with me, particularly as more and more Police are killed in the line of duty. By doing this abseil I hope to raise money to assist them in continuing the great work they do for the families that are left behind.
Sport Birmingham are assisting with the funding. It is a local charity improving the lives of people through sport and physical activity. Hoping to make Birmingham a more active city and a healthier place to live, learn, work, play and succeed.
