We harness the power of play to educate & empower disadvantaged children

Story

Hi, we're the Great Britain Short Track Speed Skating Team,

Elise Christie, Richard Shoebridge, Jack Whelbourne, Billy Simms... and not forgetting Paul Shoebridge (Richard's dad).

We are passionate supporters of Right To Play. They do amazing work to help children overcome the effects of poverty, disease and war, all through the educational power of sport, games and play.

We are taking part in the Rise Above sportive on Sunday 9 August with fellow Ambassador Mark Cavendish as we want to raise money for Right To Play and help change the lives of even more children. Any donation that you could make in support of our ride would be greatly appreciated.

What will your money do?
For every £30 raised, an impoverish child will be able to take part in Right To Play programmes twice weekly for one whole year. Tailored versions of football can teach about tolerance and a game of tag can teach about malaria prevention.

All your donations will go directly to Right To Play and don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box so they can claim even more money. You can learn more about their work to help children around the world here:

Thanks so much for your support,
Elise, Richard, Jack, Billy and Paul
