We raise vital funds and raise awareness to support positive health and wellbeing

Story

Thank you for supporting #TeamKPG who are taking part in this year’s Black Country 10K.

Chief Executive Monica Shafaq, Trainer Lisa Hartland and Care Home Manager Vicki Fox will be taking on the run to raise money for Kaleidoscope Plus Group, a leading mental health and wellbeing charity.

Lisa said: “Everyone has mental health, but most are afraid to talk about it. I have agreed to take part in this run to raise money for the Kaleidoscope Plus Group (KPG).

“I want to help spread the word and make people more aware that they can be comfortable to talk about it and that they are not alone.”

At KPG, we’re dedicated to providing the highest quality services and supporting recovery for people experiencing mental ill health, but to succeed, we need your help.

It costs just over £2m every year to provide care and support to our service users, their family members, friends and carers. With only a small percentage of our running costs coming from government funding, it really is you that keeps our services going.

Monica added: "I am really excited to be running the Black Country 10K as part of #TeamKPG! Mental health and well-being is so important so I want to raise funds so that we can continue to provide our vital services to those who need them most!"

The annual event held in Halesowen will take place on September 12 and is organised by Halesowen and Rowley Regis Rotary Club.
It features a 10k race at 9.45am and a shorter family fun run at 11.30am.
