Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

*Updated* As we reached our 4 million steps goal we have decided to go for 5 million to push ourselves over the next few days!!

This group of wonderful people have taken the challenge to walk 4 million steps between the 9th January and 8th February, using our daily exercise ration to help raise much needed funds for and awareness of Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome UK improves the lives of those living with this terrible condition.  Throughout the pandemic the charity has stepped up to support families most in need by providing emotional, practical support and advice. Practically we've been helping our families by issuing more monitors for those with less access to respite care, grants, and most importantly a sense of community for those locked down with individuals who need a high level of care, manifested through informational webinars, and even pub quiz evenings.

The last year has been challenging for all of us, but it has been extremely difficult for all our Dravet children and their families.  One silver lining from the pandemic is that, with most of his normal sources of exercise shut, Arlo has been walking every day and using his wheelchair less, and he has walked the furthest he has EVER walk.  So he will be leading the team but walking once a day to help us reach our goal of 4 million steps!
