As many of you are already aware I ran the 2016 Virgin Money London Marathon to raise money for this fantastic charity & although I vowed at the finish line "Never Again" well a year has passed and I've pulled out the old running trainers again! Only this time R Kid "Andy" has pulled out his trainers to so 2017 is the year of Team Gallagher Brothers ! 

January 20th 2016 our life was turned upside down with the passing our beloved mum who was battling this horrible disease. Mum gave a one hell of fight pulling through a major operation to remove a tumour from her brain only then to be told the devastating news she had cancer of the oesophagus and would have to undergo radiotherapy & then Chemotherapy. Our Mum showed unbelievable strength & courage in confronting both treatments but sadly all of this was just to much for  her as she had battled with severe asthma and chest problems throughout her life and this had taken a lot from her Mum always said " This bloody chest will be the death of me!" And she was right as she always was she caught pneumonia whilst undergoing chemotherapy and this was to be her final fight and one that she couldn't win. January 20th 2016 Mum left this world but her incredible spirit stayed and lives on within in her 3 sons Lee, Shaun, Andrew & her "side kick" daughter Hayley. x x x

   As a family we have taken great comfort in the support that family & friends have given us over the past year and we hope we have shown the same support & compassion to all the families that we know who went through same heartbreaking times. 

Shaun & Andrew our running this Marathon for everyone we know who has lost loved ones and for those who are continuing to fight this horrible disease today you inspire us all with your courage x x x
