Story
In 2011, after years of thinking I was suffering with a rugby injury to my back and shoulders, I was admitted to hospital with muscle weakness, facial paralysis and double vision.
A few months later (just after our move to Australia), I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis and started treatment in Perth. This initial treatment saw me spend 6hrs a fortnight in hospital receiving insfusions and taking a huge amount of tablets to manage the condition.

Since returning to the UK in 2014, I have managed the condition with the help of specialists and medication - but the day to day struggles of MG continue to impact my life.
I tire easily, suffer from extreme muscle weakness and must stay on top of any symptoms to ensure I can stay active and healthy.
Anyone running a marathon is a huge effort/achievement - but add in a condition that drains your muscles, makes you fatigue easily and generally leaves people unable to function - that is why I really hope people get behind my effort and support me and Myaware. This is the only MG charity in the UK and works hard to raise awareness and support people with the condition.
