Story

I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer 3 years ago. In July 2015 I received innovative treatment from University College Hospital London. The following month I was supported by Teambike in raising over £10,000 for a specific Prostate Cancer Research project at UCLH.

Our 2nd Dolomite Challenge will take place in August 2017. We intend to climb the highest road in the Alps (the base of the Otztal Glacier ) which tops out at 2830metres. We want to raise another £10,000 for the project briefly outlined below:

We all understand that a cancer diagnosis has a huge psychological impact on patients and their families. The UCLH team have suggested that we raise money to fund a project that will explore how best to ameliorate the psycho-social impacts of prostate cancer treatment thus improving patient outcomes.

This is a very exciting project and I would be most grateful for your support. Please contact me or the UCH Cancer Fund Team (cancerfund@uclh.nhs.uk) if you require more detailed information.

Thanks again
