Story

CHARITY SPIN BIKES – TESCO ELGIN – SCOTTY’S LITTLE SOLDIER.

Friday 10th January 2020 will see us take part in a charity bike ride, where a 12 hour ride to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers will take place.  The charity provides beneficiaries with support and guidance offering respite however brief, from grief and other trauma experienced through loss of a parent.

Assistance is available to families from the British Army, Royal Navy or RAF and is not limited to those killed in action. Children who have lost a parent through illness or accident are also eligible as long as their parent was a serving member of the British Forces at the time of their death, or medically discharged due to a condition which eventually led to their death.  Both Regular and Reserve (TA) forces are catered for.

Our objective while using spin bikes provided by 39 Engr Regt will be to cover 613 miles, which equates to the distance from Kinloss Barracks to Gibraltar Barracks in Minley, ending at Worthy Down, Winchester.
