Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

...as mentioned above my brothers thought it a nice thing that rather than people attending Mum's funeral and bringing bought flowers that instead, they would ask that people donated to our chosen local charity, which it was agreed between us, that  'The Joshua Tree' would be the one to benefit from funds raised.

.... So how do you get from that to this, well! I am a budding saxophonist, and I played at the graveside which for me personally held something really special.

I played a self-composed piece on top of and which I believe compliments  Kenny G's 'The Wedding Song'. I have practised this tune over and over and I don't think that I have ever played my add-on twice the same and last Wednesday the 10/04/2019 when we laid her to rest with Dad who passed away 34½yrs ago, was no different.  Now I hear some of you say '...how can you play a song for a wedding at a funeral,  well it's quite simple really - I see that after 34½yrs physical/spiritual separation Mum and Dad are now reunited in the fullness of their souls being again joined, and so for me it was like attending their spiritual wedding (and a reuniting of their souls) as well as Mum's earthy funeral.

Anyway, a couple of days after I had the thought why not add to the amount raised albeit separately by Busking.  In Northwich as a start, for I have never busked properly ever before although I have practised in public where people have presumed that I was busking and even when I have explained that I wasn't still given me the money the wanted to give because they felt moved by what I was playing.  This also brings me to the point that again as a salute to Mum I thought it would be nice to launch my busking endeavours with her as a reason to do so, and so that 'The Joshua Tree' may benefit also. so here I am setting up a gateway for those of you who wish to contribute to a fine cause.

The plan is to do a series of ad-hoc impromptu appearances around Northwich, it's surrounding areas and possibly beyond and busk.  As well as this, if anyone would like me to visit them and busk/perform at a venue of their choice I will consider it for a fee (of course) which will also go to  the fund for 'The Joshua Tree', or if you are a commercial site, then use of your premises may suffice if I can promote it on this set of web pages, Time Date etc.

That's it really, so it just leaves me to say.....

Feel Free to Come to Sit or Stand around and listen, hopefully, enjoying the music (including any bum notes, mistimings, and any other error that I am constantly self-critical of) and then at if you wish to donate/give some dosh/mulla/cash/money/dinero to me for my efforts of entertaining you, then I will pass on these amounts to 'The Joshua Tree' cause.

Also, please feel free to go to their site to see what an amazing job they are doing, feel free to do so or not.  But enjoy either which way.

You can choose to donate in several ways Here use the donate button on site or through the Just Giving app which you can, if you haven't already, download to your devices, or you can put the dosh in the bucket at each venue and it will then be transferred to this site from the dedicated account that I have set up in Lloyds Bank for this purpose.

Oh! just two last things

Firstly - I feel only right to inform everyone that I have never had a lesson to learn how to play the saxophone.

Secondly - the tune "'The Wedding Song' - Plus 1(my addition)" once I have checked about if permissions are needed I may make a version available for a period of time where the proceeds go to 'The Joshua Tree' Fund that I am raising.

Please also give your honest feedback as to what you think of my busking etc it may help me to improve what I do.

Lastly, I'd just like to Thank Mum(and Dad) for everything they afforded me to be what I have become Thank you! I will always love you both more than words can say or convey.
