Story

Updated on Oct 8th 2012 at 11:19 PM from the JustGiving API

Well, today the bike was ordered. Date is set for Coast to Coast Challenge. It's happening in May. Looking to do the 3 peaks in June/July. Not sure what month I'm gonna do the Great North Run. What are your thoughts on August?

Please help me raise money for the Newcastle Cat and Dog Shelter.

For those of you who've had the pleasure to meet her, you'll understand that Charley is one of a kind. I rehomed Charley in 2005 when she was abandoned. She's my best friend. I can't thank the team enough for introducing us but I'd like to help them raise some much needed money. If you are unable to rehome a dog, please donate to keep their wonderful work going. Also, rethink next time you get an animal. Don't pay breeders hundreds of pounds to line their pockets. The animals and the Shelter will love you more!

They're also in desperate need of your old blankets, towels, bed linen to keep their animals warm. If you can donate food (dog food) it'd be much appreciated too.

2013 will see me first conquer the Coast 2 Coast cycle route on a mountain bike. Bearing in mind I haven't rode a bike in 3 years it should be interesting. Following that I'll be running the Great North Run where I'll be aiming for a finish under 2 hours. I've never ran this race before but I'm not messing around. I'm doing this properly! I've also added another challenge. I'll be completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. Within a 24 hour period (yep - one day) I will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon. I think that one is the biggest challenge for me.

If you can donate anything (I mean anything!) myself, Charley and all the other homeless dogs will be forever in your debt.

If anything, you'll get a laugh from me.
