Story
I am setting this page up to commemorate the life of a truely special man. My fiance, Dave Preston, sadly lost a short fight against Bowel Cancer on the 28 April 2009 at just 31 years old. He was courageous to the end and a real credit to himself.
Dave had a real zest for live which was infectious to all those around him. He loved to laugh and joke; always had a story to tell and was forever the centre of attention as a result. His ability to bring people together knew no bounds as he strived to make everyone happy. Dave was loving and caring; never shy about throwing a comforting arm around someone in need! He was sensitive to others - a protector. Dave had so much love to give; something he did un-conditionally.
Dave touched the lives of so many - a fact evident at his funeral and also a BBQ arranged in his honour on the 21 June 2009. We all truely loved him and were rocked and saddened by his passing. A huge void has been left in our lives forever. Dave will never be forgotten; taken far too soon.
Wanting to honour Dave Preston, I have set up this fund in his honour. I hope to raise funds by holding regular events and by the generous donations of those who knew and loved Dave and others also affected by Cancer. The proceeds of this fund will be donated to other cancer sufferers like Dave and their families in their fight against this frightening disease.
