This year at the Walsingham Prayer Festival we are celebrating the beginning of 25 YEARS of Youth 2000! Your contribution will go towards helping this festival be a real celebration of all God has given us in His Church and raise up our young people to be the Saints of tomorrow! This is a great way to invest in the future of the Catholic Church, as we work to bring Jesus Christ to the young people of this country. Youth 2000 retreats re-introduce young people to the central elements of Catholic faith and prayer in an accessible way, through a dynamic programme of Mass and Eucharistic adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, devotion to Our Lady, and talks on scripture and the teachings of the Church.

There is no doubt that the Holy Spirit is leading Youth 2000 as we hear of many conversion stories of young people whose lives have been transformed by an encounter with Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist. For some, Youth 2000 acts as a 'gateway' back to the Church. It also helps a young person discover their vocation. We are aware of 100 priests, deacons and religious and many married couples who say that Youth 2000 has played a significant role in determining their vocation. Therefore, by supporting Youth 2000, you are giving to the Church, family life and vocations!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Luke 11:9) Youth 2000 trusts this promise, firm in the belief that God will always provide and that young people should always be able to benefit from its retreats, even if they have little or no money. 

So this is where YOU help. Although Youth 2000 runs on a shoestring, the costs mount up. Our annual prayer festival in Walsingham will cost around £90,000 this year which covers the cost of marquees, catering, coaches, electricity, plumbing, publicity and general festival costs. In order to encourage as many young people as possible to attend, we do not have a set fee, but operate a 'donation only' policy so that young people can give what they can afford. 

Keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus who himself said, "There is more happiness in giving than in receiving." (Acts 20:35).

We are grateful for any amount that you can give and all donations will go DIRECTLY to enabling young people to encounter Christ during The Journey. Without the prayers & generous financial support from friends like you, Youth 2000 could not carry out its mission!
