Islam unites us as an Ummah in Good times, such as Ramadan and Eid etc, and in hardship times, when someone dies, when someone is sick, when someone is in need of help etc.
Farah Saeed passed away a few months ago due to gastric metastatic cancer and the FST was founded in her name in the early stages.
If she was alive today, she would have wanted to help. The FST will be doing this on behalf of Farah Flower.

About the Project:
Millions of people are still affected by the famine in Somalia and the Afgoye region (less than 20 miles from Mogadishu) is one of the worst hit areas. Over 1 million people do not have adequate access to safe drinking water for themselves and their livestock. The water they do manage to get, after walking for miles and for hours each day, is dirty and polluted. This exposes them to water-borne diseases, which can be life-threatening and cripple families.
Women and children are at risk and the most affected by this problem. In most societies, women and children bear the responsibility of fetching water for the family. This is not only time consuming during dry seasons (as rivers dry out) but also exhausting, as they walk long distances to fetch water.
With your help, HRF can dig Water Wells for Somalia, near to the affected communities, providing more than 15 litres of water per day, per person and for their animal herds and livestock. A water well acts as a small reservoir from which the local community can draw water on a daily basis. We will also be training the communities on how to maintain the water system for these wells, allowing them to become self-sustaining.
Each well will cost £5,000 so every donation counts. You can improve their health and keep them from diseases which can threaten families, children and their livelihoods. Make a donation now.
