We raise funds for children with cancer to help them through treatment using play.

Story

So I'm back raising money for charity again. This year it is for Give a Duck (http://www.giveaduck.org.uk). This is a very small charity and one which can really help children and their families as they fight cancer. They provide chemo ducks which are a great comforter and eductional tool for when the children undergo treatment.

So what am I doing? Well, I am taking part in the following challenges for Give a Duck.

  1. Sky Betting & Gaming cycle Sportive - 16th June 2017
  2. Leeds 10K - 9th July 2017
  3. Getting plucked for Give a Duck - 20th July 2017

Sky Betting & Gaming Sportive - I'm looking to complete the 100 mile challenge, although I've not trained much, I hope to do as many miles as I can.

Leeds 10k - I've never run this race before. I did the Hull 10K which was my first ever 10K last year. I'm hoping I can possibly run it in less than 1hr 30, which for me would be great as I'm not the fittest or trimmest of people and have been suffering with knee problems.

Getting plucked for Give a Duck - Yep I'm looking at getting waxed for Give a Duck. This is something which always shocks and scares people when you mention it, but hey you only live once so I might as well get it done and enjoy the wonders of re-growth for many weeks.

I'm hopefully doing a full body wax which will be carried out by Luxe Hair & Beauty (http://www.luxehairbeauty.co.uk), on the 20th July 2017 at the Cock and Bottle in Skipton starting at 4.30pm (http://cockandbottleskipton.co.uk).

Come along, have a drink and sponsor me as I am transformed from a hairy gorilla to a smooth lobster man (especially once its all done).
