Story

Owen Davies and Sean Hanafin are old friends, who I have known since we all started our careers at Citibank. Owen and Sean (with Seans wife Alex and Matthew McIlvenna) co-founded FoCT in 2007.

Sean and Owen knew I was a "bit of a runner" haha and asked me if I would run the marathon for the charity. Last October I badly broke my wrist and sustained an open dislocation to my elbow. I was looking for something to focus on to help my recovery and training for a marathon was the perfect challenge. At the sametime, it has always been an ambition to run London.

I have to confess, I knew nothing about the charity, however, it was clear that the charity means a lot to them. When I read about the work being undertaken on the ground by Matthew, who lives in Tanzania and oversees the management and implementation of the ongoing activities, it is impossible not to be moved by the difference being made to the lives of disabled and vulnerable children. I am proud to be associated with FoCT and hope you will support our efforts to raise money for them to continue their great work.
