Story
I don’t know where we’d be without St Richard’s Hospice.!!!
It is an outstanding charity which has touched so many people’s hearts, none more so than mine. The Hospice cared for my grandad and are currently caring for my dad, and they’ve gone above and beyond to help him. Their support really is beyond compare, and they are holding our hand every step of the way through such a tough time.
I am deeply grateful for their support, and I want to raise as much money as I physically can to help this incredible charity.
To do this, I’ve decided to push myself to the absolute limit!!!
I started running one year ago to improve my mental health & to be honest - to try and shed a few pounds I’ve packed on down the pub over the years! I soon realised that running not only dropped me a few inches on the waist line but did wonders for my ongoing anxiety issues, and I genuinely couldn’t believe the positive effects it had. For me, running is like therapy.
I want to turn this new passion of mine into a challenge! I’ve decided to run the London Marathon. On Sunday 2nd October 2022, which ironically would have been my grandad johns birthday! I’ll be running 26.2 miles to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice. I want to support them to help others in their time of need.
Now the hard work begins !
We would be grateful for donations of any size to go towards this incredible charity, who have not only helped us, but so many other families. Every single penny will count, so we’d greatly appreciate anything you can give for this fantastic cause!
