We train local people to be builders to build schools and clinics in Zambia.

Story

In July James Warburg and I will be cycling from our Longnor, our village in Shropshire, to the French Pyrenees. We are following the French section of the Atlantic cycle route  along the West coast of France, a total of about 1400 miles. We will be cycling unsupported, carrying all of our own gear and averaging roughly 60 miles a day.

The charity we wish to support is Build It International which is situated in our hometown of Shrewsbury. Build It transforms communities in Zambia by training local people to build schools and clinics. Not only does this allow the young people to obtain the skills and support they need to earn a living and support their families but it also provides access to healthcare and education for some of Africa’s poorest communities.

Any donations would be very gratefully received by Build It International, and will spur us on as we head towards the Pyrenees.
