The Martlets Hospice cared for my wife Penny after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They were amazing and gave her so much support in the last few weeks of her life. During such an awful time they gave her a huge amount of dignity and care and I cannot thank them enough. The Martlets is not NHS funded and is run completely through donations, they need to make more than 4 million pounds a year to provide free care for the people of Brighton and Hove. I really hope that by running the Brighton Marathon I can raise as much money for them as possible and give something back to them.
