I am going to attempt to run my first half marathon on Sunday 9th October 2016. 

This is more than just a personal challenge for me, I am doing this for my 3 children who all have suffered with allergies since they were born. Due to allergies being so common nowadays they are massively underestimated and dismissed as just a fad. Admittedly I had the same attitude towards allergies until my first daughter was born and I realised what it was like to live with an allergy 24 hours a day. 

My kids suffer with wheat, soya and cows milk protein allergies. Its a challenge everyday to feed them, and a challenge for them to not come into contact with foods that will cause them so much discomfort. Its not even just food I have to watch as even kids activities such as play doh has wheat in them so by just simply playing with it will cause them to have a reaction. Its a minefield and although my eldest is now 3 and half I am still learning so much about allergies, and with the amazing support of Allergy UK ensuring my kids are well and happy.
