Story
Hello!
In November 2010, I will be working on the Amazon Hope Medical Project in Peru for The Vine Trust charity.
The Amazon Hope is a boat especially adapted to be a medical clinic. It provides a floating primary care centre for people living on the banks of the Amazon with no access to other healthcare.
Each month a team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, dental nurses and "ship hands" sail from Los Iquitos to the Brazilian border stopping at over 15 villages along the way. The healthcare team work for free and in their own annual leave time.
I have raised £800 for my flight but need to raise £500 more for a contribution to the upkeep of the ship and medicines purchased.
The Vine Trust and I would be grateful for any contribution you feel able to offer.
Thanks.
Tom
