A fit, young friend of mine persuaded me (an aged non-runner) with my dodgy knees and dicky back to enter the Manchester 10k by promising a healthy donation to my chosen charity. I hope you will agree with me that the world can sometimes be a scary place but your own home should be a safe haven.  Everyone should have the right to live their life free from fear, violence and abuse. Stockport Without Abuse provides safe and secure accommodation for women and their children who need to escape domestic abuse.  SWA offers support with emotional, financial, legal and housing issues so victims can begin to rebuild their lives.
