• We are raising money on behalf of Tony Palmer, the founder of the Essex Spartans American Football Team.  GOSH was one of his favourite charities so we would like to donate as much as we can to this worthy cause in his honour.
  
• Tony dedicated over a quarter of a century to Essex American football, running the team through the Basildon Chiefs period through the name change to Essex Spartans and beyond. His commitment, work rate, dedication and love of the team all delivered with a great sense of humour is, in our opinion, unparallelled in British American football and it should be remembered that not only did Tony run our club he was also involved at league level in many projects including Britbowl and the successful North v South All star game.
  
• Tony was a unique character and he had a positive impact on the lives of so many people as a leader, friend, mentor and motivator and every one of those people can tell you a story, probably many, of his kindness and support.
