The lifeboat in Sennen Cove is crewed by volunteers, who work hard in difficult situations, often putting themselves at risk to ensure the safety of others at sea. Every Sunday morning at around 10:00, if you go down the steps from the cottage, you will see the boat being launched for a practice drill. The crew is ready to launch at a moment’s notice, 24/7: 365 days a year and can be very busy in the summer months. 

All equipment and training for the beach lifeguards, who patrol daily from May to September, is also provided by the RNLI. Without donations, they simply wouldn’t be able to do their job of keeping swimmers & surfers safe. It's easy to take them for granted but, as a parent of surfers, it's great to know that they're there!
