In 2003 while driving to work I was involved in a RTA, I had to be cut out of my car by the Fire Brigade and was unconscious. The paramedics could not be sure that I did not have back and neck injuries so the Air Ambulance was called and they flew me to Exeter hospital. I woke up on route but only for a few seconds but was reassured I was going to be ok. When I arrived at the hospital I was told what had happened and how I'd got to the hospital. Luckily I was fine and my injuries were not that bad, but that could of been a very different story and often is. I am running the London Marathon and raising money for The Devon Air Ambulance, I have always said if I ever got into the marathon I would run for them as I always felt like I owed them a huge debt, this is my way of saying thank you and I will feel like I've paid them back in some way.
