Wickes & J.W.Ostendorf Trans Alp Challenge to beat blood cancer. JWO are once again joining forces with Wickes on their most challenging cycle ride yet. The Trans Alp Challenge is a five day endurance ride starting in Munich, climbing over the mighty Brenner Pass and finally descending through the Italian Lakes into Venice. This testing ride is all in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Starting on the high plain of Southern Bavaria, the riders will cover around 130km a day over the Alps and into Northern Italy. They will traverse a range of terrain, pushing up the steep mountain inclines in the Alps to heights of 1320metres.This year team includes five amateur enthusiasts: Simon King from Wickes, Richard Burnham from JWO and Robin Scott and Robert Best. With the help of their companies, family and friends the 5 cyclists are hoping to raise over £50k for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
