Story

Isaac Turner - loved by everyone

On April 3rd we’re running the Manchester 2022 Marathon in memory of our dear nephew and cousin Isaac.

Isaac was extremely brave with a positive outlook & had an infectious laugh with a happy approach to life. Tragically in November 2021, after almost two years of shielding Isaac lost his life to Covid19. He died on the 30th November, exactly 1 week after his 23rd birthday.
He is missed dearly every single day and is remembered with great fondness and love by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.
Isaac was loved by everyone.

He went through more in his 23 years of life than most people go through in a lifetime, however his Dad, Adam, so rightly points out that he also packed more in his life throughout those 23 years than most people do. Isaac had countless operations including a bone marrow transplant and lived every day with deafness amongst other medical complications, however these challenges never dampened his spirit.

Despite these challenges Isaac took joy & excitement with the every day, he was fascinated with people and loved his home big city of Manchester & his “area” Stretford & his little town Sale, which is why it feels so poignant that we’ll now be running around Stretford, Sale and Manchester in honour of Isaac and for MPS.

The last time we ran the marathon in 2018, Isaac was there to wave us along the way and his smile got us through at the tough bits.
Thinking of Isaac, his bravery and his strength will help to get us through the physical challenges of the marathon. Isaac fought hard to make the most of his life and fought off adversity & severe health challenges numerous times.

Any donations for this worthy cause, the MPS society will be greatly appreciated, it was a charity extremely close to Isaac and his family.
We are dedicating our marathon to Isaac and hopefully we can help fund vital research and help other MPS patients enjoy life as Isaac would have wanted.
