Hello GTPs,

Our first social event of the year is at Bounce Ping Pong in Shoreditch. We will be raising money for The Brokerage Citylink who work with schools and colleges to bring thousands of students out of the classroom and into London's financial districts each year to raise aspirations and increase social mobility, in turn creating a more diverse workforce.

For 20 years, The Brokerage Citylink has been building links between the employers in London's financial districts and the local communities surrounding them. They have introduced tens of thousands of young Londoners to City careers and helped thousands to access actual career opportunities.

Key facts:

• The Brokerage Citylink provided more than 1,200 paid internships over the past 12 years
• Over 160 young people gained paid internships, apprenticeships and jobs through The Brokerage Citylink in 2014/15
• 91% of candidates were from BAME backgrounds
• Over 1000 students engaged in their school-based sessions and workshops in 2014/15
• 4,300 students visited a workplace in the City or Canary Wharf in 2014/15
• 2,413 volunteer hours were donated to their programmes in 2014/15
