We fund dementia research to help defeat dementia.

Story

We are fundraising on behalf of Brace Alzheimer's research, a registered charity that funds research into Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia as funds for Alzheimer's research in the NHS and Universities are inadequate, receiving a fraction of what is spent per patient on cancer research.

Dementia currently affects over 800,000 people in the UK and most people have a family member or friend who has been affected by the illness. It is a truly heartbreaking thing to go through both for the sufferer and their family around them. The money that we raise will go towards funding research into curing this debilitating disease and to helping to treat people already diagnosed.

We will be taking part in Water Wipeout, an extreme obstacle course event in Nottingham on the 20th of June. We will be enduring 10k of extreme obstacles and grueling mud, facing vertical wall climbs, flaming fire pits and commando crawls through pools of mud. We are aiming to raise £650 so please dig deep and give generously to this worthy cause and of course you are welcome to come along on the day to laugh at us/cheer us on!

THANKS!
