Story
I remember working with LGBT+ young people in Lancashire in the late 80s and 90s it was during the bad old days of section 28. We fought that and hoped we had won some freedoms so the fact that the Albert Kennedy Trust is still in business is scary.
One night we had taken the youth group into Manchester for a night out and as we left the club the fire brigade and police were attending to an incident. Someone was on top of the multi story car park waiting to jump or fall. I don't know if that was Albert Kennedy but I do know how bad things can get even in the 21st century for young LGBT+ people when their own families can't or won't accept them for who they are.
Please support me in raising some money for Albert Kennedy Trust and in working towards a society where they are no longer needed.
