In 2010 and 2011 Jamie and a wonderful crew of oarsmen, raised a staggering £200,000 for ARUK through the epic 'Forget me not Row'. This devastating disease then took a progressive degenerative hold on a wonderful man who succumbed to pneumonia on January 21st 2015. When I heard that Alzheimer's Research UK had some amazing fund raising plans for this year - I had an inexplicable bout of bravado (for one who suffers seriously from vertigo) and decided to go for the Skydive option... so will be taking the plunge at Netheravon on June 4th and would be very grateful for your support.   Nothing can obliterate the memory of the indignity and suffering Jamie went through for so many years and at such a young age, but if we can continue to raise funds for vital research and the need for more trained nursing care, we will continue to honour his determination to do what he could for as long as possible.  My turn to do something for him.
