Story
Hello! In January, I’ll be walking a 26 mile (42k) loop around London for the charity Sibs (silly hat to be confirmed. Open to suggestions below.)
Sibs exists to support people who grow up with or have grown up with a disabled sibling. It is the only UK charity to do this for over 2 million young and adult siblings.
Sibs provide information, support and training on sibling issues for siblings of all ages, parents and professionals. Since the pandemic this is more vital than ever and they have helped many through it,, including me.
There really are precious few resources out there for siblings of disabled people, so please please donate what you can to this fantastic cause! I promise to upload mildly amusing training pictures - even better than that, all money donated goes straight to Sibs.
- £10 pays for a young sibling to get advice from sibs on coping with worry or bullying
- £25 helps support vital adult sibling peer groups
- £50 goes a huge way to supporting the ongoing cost of their mailing list which is vital in reaching out to isolated siblings with information and resources
- £100 trains a new adult sibling group leader for a local support group. These groups are key to the support Sibs provide.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
Thanks from me, my sister Kitkat, and siblings everywhere!
