Meet Meg - my wonderful and inspiring friend who puts her heart, soul and all of her time into running an amazing charity called Legacare.  The very needed charity supports and helps people in their hours of absolute need. The help she has given families and individuals has been so incredibly important to many people now. I would like to say that Meg is a very talented solicitor who gives legal advice at no charge to people who are terminally ill, which of course she does, but she also does so much more from finding homes for her clients pets to shopping for them and ensuring their daily needs are taken care of to even arranging last minute weddings and just generally being their emotional support. 

15 years ago I ran my first and only (until now) Great North Run, I have, for the last 15 years put off ever doing it again but over the last few years after seeing the invaluable work Meg does for so many people I had a reality check and realised I needed to put my efforts into helping Legacare by trying to get a little fitter and at the same time help the charity continue. 

Anyone who knows me knows that I do have a slight competitive side! I will be aiming to not only reach my monetary target but also beat my time of 15 years ago.
