Story
My dear friend, Emily Henderson, fell ill March 2015 with what we all thought was a cough. It wasn't until her second time in hospital was the cough found to actually be a rare form of lung cancer (ALK +ve), despite Emily never smoking.
Emily died on the 21st July 2015, a 1 month after her diagnosis.
It was a shock to so many of us, changing the lives of every person who knew Emily. There's a hole left in many hearts that will never be filled.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of her, be it when I attempt to knit, when I listen to the radio or when I pass the MAC aisle and see all the red lipsticks.
Emily could rock a red lipstick like no other.
So this January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink, including for my birthday on January 22nd, for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Please dig deep and donate now.
