Approach is an independent Stoke-on-Trent based charity who has been providing specialist dementia support for people living with dementia and their carers since 1981. We believe that individuals
with a diagnosis of dementia should be supported to live their life the way that they choose and as such we promote person-centred care throughout our services. With this person-centred care, we believe people can live well with dementia.

Approach rely entirely on fundraising to support their two Carers services, Carers Cafes and Carers Training. 

The Approach Cafes provide an environment where carers can meet and chat to others who understand what it is really like to have a caring responsibility as well as accessing specialist dementia support and advice.

The Approach training service has been developed to provide Carers with a deeper understanding of Dementia, support them in their role as a carer and help them to plan for the future. 

I will be running the Paris Marathon to raise funds to help Approach continue to provide these vital services.
