Story
Did you know that 7000 people die of starvation every day in India?
This situation has worsened during the CV pandemic, where lockdown has left many vulnerable communities without food for an indefinite period. Families that depend on daily wages do not know when their jobs will resume. Meanwhile, support from overburdened state governments has often been delayed or insufficient.
By giving £10, you can cover a month of basic rations for an entire family. By running the Brighton 10K, we are aiming to raise as much as possible to help all families affiliated with schools supported by Asha London in West Bengal. Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Please donate to support if you can. Every donation however small matters. Asha means hope in Sanskrit and this will really bring hope to those families who need it most.
The 10k is scheduled to go ahead on 11th October as part of the Marathon Weekend. These 10 km will be run, no matter what, but hopefully in this first official event - one of the only non-virtual runs due to take place in spite of Corona. Thank you so much for your support :)
