I am running the Edinburgh and Braemar half marathons to raise money for Braemar Mountain Rescue.  I've always admired the work the mountain rescue teams do, especially since I started hiking more seriously.

Based in Braemar and Ballater they provide a mountain rescue response to the Southern Cairngorms, Glenshee, Lochnagar and Deeside areas. The team attends over 40 incidents each year and are a voluntary organisation, dependant on public donations.

If you are able to donate I would be very grateful, no matter how small the donation.
