Story
There are so many people in this country at the moment going above and beyond for the sake of others. In my very small way, I want to help a setting that is doing just that. I would like to celebrate a school with some extraordinary staff, whose positivity and ambition for the students they work with is nothing short of inspiring. Despite the COVID pandemic, they are pushing ahead to provide the children with the very best education and therapy. They are positive with the children and so supportive to the families.
Victoria Education Centre (VEC) relies on fundraising to provide much of the equipment and infrastructure that has made it such a special place. Like so many charities and organisations they are thousand’s of £‘s short of what they would usually raise in a year.
Victoria Education Centre takes children from ages 4-19 years, from many counties in the south who have physical disabilities or complex medical/neurological conditions and many have additional needs including communication difficulties, learning difficulties and sensory impairments.
My son, Jack, has Downs Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy and has been at the school for 1 1/2 years. Most of that has been through the COVID pandemic and yet they are still providing him with so many ways to grow and develop from swimming to music, to Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy... on top of all his ‘normal’ school lessons.
I would be so grateful for any donation you are able to make to give this extraordinary team of people in an amazing setting a little boost when they need it the most.
Thank you!! X
