Story
This year I've decided to run my first (and possibly only) half marathon, and wanted to do it for a charity that does brilliant feminist work supporting victims of violence and abuse.
The nia project provides cutting-edge services to end violence against women and children, delivering frontline services to around 2,000 women and girls a year. I've set £300 as my fundraising target because this can cover the cost of a week's accommodation in a refuge.
I can't explain further why this has to be a half marathon because really, doing this sounds quite unlike me to me, too.
