Story
I'm sleeping out in the precincts of Southwark Cathedral on the 30th November to help raise money for Robes, which is the south London church's project helping the homeless. It will probably rain. Please give generously.
Robes:
- Robes operates a volunteer run winter night shelter for the homeless across Southwark and Lambeth.
- We also provide holistic support to help our homeless guests rebuild their lives and find stable accommodation
- In the winter of 2018/19 we will be running two shelters simultaneously each night.
- 28 church venues and more than 1,000 volunteers will provide food, shelter, advice and support for around 75 people sleeping rough in South London.
It will cost Robes £210,000 to cover the costs of expansion and a year’s running costs. We rely solely on donations from churches, individuals, businesses and grants to keep us going.
