Story
Hi! It's Chloe here. I am part of one of the teams doing the Superhero Tri in aid of Motivation! Why? Well because when I was made an ambassador for the charity I found out some shocking statistics that I want to help change!
There are 70 million people in the world who need a wheelchair
80% of disabled people in developing countries live in poverty
90% of disabled children in developing countries do not go to school
Luckily I'm not the only one who wants to see these numbers fall. Two of my college friends are joining me in one team. I will be cycling on a hand bike, Lois will be running and Ella swimming. As for the boys, my brother, Tyler, is running alongside Lewis who is going to be in his racing chair, my 50 year old fit and healthy dad, Alan, is cycling and Dom is my boyfriend and will be swimming in that team.
Between the two teams we have until the 18th August 2018 to raise £1000 and also to decide which heroes we will be dressed as on the day!
People like me and Lewis have been fortunate enough to have people help us get the wheelchairs we have today. Not everyone has opportunities like that which is why we want to try and give them to others!
My favourite quote to sum all this up is "making one person smile can change the world, maybe not the whole world, but their world". Can you help us do that please?
