Tom was just 22 when he was diagnosed with Sarcoma. He had the most incredible journey and met some amazing people. He was the bravest person that I will ever meet and was truly inspirational to everyone that he met, including the medical team at Derriford Hospital. In February 2013, we were given the devastating news that the treatment wasn't working and there was nothing that they could do. Tom never felt sorry for himself, or asked 'Why me'....he just accepted it all with great dignity. He was a sweet natured, kind, generous, happy, extremely funny young man who had so many dreams and ambitions and so much to live for. MacMillan were there for us every step of the way and we will be eternally grateful for them all.
