Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Dad served as a Lancaster tail Gunner in Bomber Command Squadrons 50 & 189 flying many missions over Europe before being shot down in early 1945, he lost 3 crew members, F/O P E Thompson DFC, W/O J Crawford RNZAF & F/S D F Cook, that day & during his time at the Bases lost many more friends. Dad & surviving crew F/O Dykins, Sgt W S Jones & F/S B Jackson spent the last months of WW11 as POWs. This long overdue Memorial in Green Park London is a fitting tribute to all RAF airmen lost during the war & who have passed away since the war ended. Money will be needed now & in the future to build & maintain their memorial

So please dig deep and donate now.
