Story

Hi Friends, Family and all kind supporters,

If you’re on my page, you probably already know my story and how grateful I am to be well and able to perform for this wonderful charity.

My initial thoughts were... how scary to dance ballroom in front of 400 people when I’ve never done it before, but in reality my fears are insignificant compared to what these teenagers that have been diagnosed and their families have to go through, their strength is awe inspiring to us all.

Please god I will be 5 years clear in 2019 and it’s also my 50th birthday, so donating on this page is the only presents I want or need.

Therefore, if you’re able to donate in a big or small way, this incredible event run by an amazing woman Claire Bloor and her fantastic team will have more money to continue their wonderful work.

The charity is called ‘Teens Unite’ please look them up and see what they do, if you can also help support any other events they’re doing, that would be great!

Thanks so much, Wendy xxx

Teens Unite is the only charity in the UK to provide on-going support to 13-24 year olds fighting cancer from diagnosis through to post-remission. Seven young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK and Teens Unite brings them together through workshops and activities so they can spend valuable time with others their age in a similar situation to themselves. The charity helps to rebuild the confidence and self-esteem of those it supports and prevents feelings of isolation during what can be a long and lonely battle.
