We support disabled children to achieve their potential

Story

On 22 September, seven members of West Hampstead White Watch will take on Tough Mudder.  Described as one of the toughest events on the planet, Tough Mudder is 10 miles of extreme obstacles including vertical wall climbs, barbed wire mud crawls, a 10,000V electrified wire run, icy water pipe drops, waist deep mud pits, rope climbs and 35kg log carries.

We are taking on this ridiculous challenge not only to test our own physical strength and endurance, but also to raise money for a very worthwhile cause.  KIDS is a national charity that supports disabled children and young people via over 120 different services.  These include specialist adventure playgrounds, advice and family support, residential breaks offering respite from caring, play schemes and sleep projects.

As many of us have children ourselves, we know first-hand how important it is that kids are offered opportunities to play, learn and develop and can only imagine how challenging this must be for those with a disabled child.

We would be grateful for anything you can donate towards our challenge and will raise a well-deserved pint of beer to you at the finish line!

Thank you,

James, Colin, Shaun, Lawrie, Ray, Dan, Greg and Brian
