Story
I am a heart failure patient and I have been for the past 3 years now. I have never had it simple when it comes to that. I came in contact with a charity called Pumping Marvellous, a charity specifically for heart failure patients.
There is information at the bottom here to tell you a bit more about them as a charity. For those of you who know me and love me I need you to know that this charity has kept me going through so many times I’ve just wanted to quit. They have played a big part in keeping me here, a big part in me regaining a lot of my confidence in life and they are all round just an amazing charity which I am very proud to associate myself with.
Quality of life is something huge that they are campaigning about right now. Quality of life for people like me, who want to be able to enjoy times with their friends and family at every opportunity they can. Pumping Marvellous are making it their goal to make people realise this and with your help that goal WILL be achieved.
This is the one time a year that I ask for your donations to make sure that they can keep doing what they have done for me, for every other patient they can. If you are glad I’m still here (some of you may not be)😂 then please give whatever you can for this wonderful charity!
Due to the Coronavirus I had to cancel the abseil I had planned for health and safety reasons. I instead intend to cycle some 280 miles starting as soon as possible. I have joined up with my virtual mission to complete the virtual trek of the Grand Canyon. 280 miles of cycling for the best cause possible
The core activities and strategy of the Pumping Marvellous Foundation are driven by the needs of heart failure patients, carers and family communities we serve. We get to the real crux of the problems, the problems that patients tell us they have. Our communities are large and we have superb interactions with them, we run the largest Facebook page dedicated to Heart Failure globally so we fully understand the needs and challenges they face. We develop and distribute patient information to the vast majority of NHS Heart Failure Teams in the UK.
